Guelph company helps Baltimore battle snow

GUELPH — The City of Baltimore is getting a first-hand look at how Guelphites battle snow.
A local snow-removal and landscaping company, Turf Plus Inc., has taken their ultimate snow melting machine — the Snow Dragon — to Baltimore’s snow-filled streets.
On Feb. 6, Baltimore was hit with its first blizzard that brought over 76 centimetres of snow, said Peter Collier, deputy director of the Baltimore City Parking Authority. An unusual combination of weather patterns saw more than two-thirds of the United States covered with snowfall last week.
